Counselling in Glasgow with Audrey Smith
Sometimes we can go round in circles trying to figure out what to do and it feels like our head will explode. Well-meaning family and friends give us their tuppence-worth on what they think we ‘should’ do, and then we feel the pressure mounting. Talking to a counsellor who is independent, not emotionally involved and who has no agenda, is an option you might consider.
Safe and Confidential Therapy
I offer a safe, warm, non-judgemental, open and confidential space for you to explore what is troubling you. I work in the way that best suits you; we can just chat, we can explore with creative intervention or we can work with worksheets. I am open to exploring what is the best and most effective way to bring about change and a different perspective to my client’s problems. You are in control of what areas of your life you want to talk about. Sometimes it is painful and difficult but at others it’s liberating, enlightening and life-changing. My experience and skill will help us to shed light on unhelpful and helpful behaviour patterns and find ways together to negotiate a clear path. Through the counselling, your self-awareness will grow and develop and empower you to move forward with your life.
Issues I have worked with…
Having worked for and managed a general counselling organisation, I have experience in many areas including anxiety, depression, affairs and betrayals, anger, bereavement, life transitions, abuse, low self-esteem and low self-confidence, separation and divorce, stress. I have a particular interest in relationship issues.
I am a BACP accredited counsellor and supervisor working in private practice and in partnership with ACT Counselling Services. Feel free to get in touch below for an informal chat.
